Shoegaze legends My Bloody Valentine have just announced via their Facebook that they will be releasing their new album and website this evening.
Their website is currently down but earlier in the week it was reported that lead singer Kevin Shields announced the follow up to 1991’s Loveless would be released around now, so it looks the long awaited third LP could be mere moments away.
The band posted a status on their official Facebook page stating: ‘We are preparing to go live with the new album/website this evening. We will make an announcement as soon as its up.‘
The band formed in 1983 and were active until 1997, before reforming in 2007 to play a number of live gigs and it seems, record a new album.
Let’s hope the website update includes a server upgrade, because it’s going to get a hell of a lot of traffic tonight.
00:32 GMT UPDATE: The site went up, and predictably crashed. Looks like the Canadians & American’s will be the first to get the new album.
