It’s not often that one of the biggest bands in the world strolls into a pizza restaurant and plays to a surprised selection of 200 people. But on Monday night that’s exactly what happened, as Foo Fighters stormed through a 23 song greatest hits set at Rock & Roll Pizza in Moorpark, California.
The band is set to make their big comeback at the 55, 000-cap Foro Sol Stadium on December 13th, but obviously decided that they needed a bit of a warmup beforehand.
The diners were already expecting an appearance from Foo’s drummer Taylor Hawkins, who was booked to play with his band Chevy Metal, but after only paying $10 for the gig, the lucky few were treated the Foo Fighters and Chevy Metal joining forces.
The show was the bands first in over a year. The setlist was as follows:
Learn to Fly
Cold Day in the Sun
Long Road to Ruin
Hey, Johnny Park!
This Is a Call
Breakdown (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers cover)
Times Like These
