Alt-rock band Pure Love have announced that they will be entering an “indefinite hiatus” after a string of UK gigs in May.

The band, which consists of ex-Gallows frontman Frank Carter and Jim Carroll (former guitarist of Hope Conspiracy and The Suicide File), confirmed the hiatus on their official Twitter page.

After forming in 2011, signing to Vertigo Records, releasing their debut full length ‘Anthems’ in February 2013, and touring extensively, the duo have decided to place Pure Love in the “phantom zone” after what they have described as a “hard year.”

The band also announced that they will be playing their only shows this year in the UK in May to “celebrate a couple hard years, one beautiful record, and lots of brilliant shows.”
