Former New Found Glory guitarist Steve Klein has been accused of lewd acts with a minor, as well as the possession of child pornography.
The guitarist was arraigned in December for multiple felonies. Klein pleaded not guilty to two counts of lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 14, three counts of lewd conduct with a minor aged 14 or 15, one count of intent to commit a lewd act with a minor and one count of possession of child pornography.
The arraignment came the day after the band announced via their Facebook page that they were parting ways with Klein, only saying that they could no longer work together. Today Idobi Radio (an alternative rock internet station), posted court documents from the arraignment. Klein is free until scheduled court dates on March 20, with another court date on April 10.
Klein’s court appearance came less than a week before Lostprophets frontman was sentenced to 29 years’ imprisonment for multiple counts of child sex offences.
The band announced that they will carry on as a four piece, with no intentions of replacing Klein. They are rumoured to release a new album, as well as tour North America and the UK.
