Chance The Rapper has revealed that he has been working in the studio on collaborations with Wyclef, J. Cole, Jessie Ware and his house-mate James Blake among others.
The ever-conquering Chicagoan rapper announced the news in an interview on DJ Semtex’s Radio 1Xtra following his headline show at the Forum in London on the 15th July. You can hear the full interview below.
“I’ve been doing a lot of work in terms of the writing and production and shit” Chance said. “I’ve been doing a lot of stuff for Wyclef, I did a little bit of work with J. Cole, obviously James Blake. I’ve been doing a lot of writing with other artists – Elle Varner, who’s an amazing artist. Everbody – Boys Noize, Jessie Ware”.
While it is uncertain if any of these collaborations will see release via his own work – “I wouldn’t say too much of it is for me” says the rapper – Chance stated how he has learned a lot from “soaking in their energy. Working with them and getting to see their process is making me a lot better”.
Chance also recently released a new short music video for his track ‘I’m Very, Very Lonely’ which touches on his hometown performance at Lollapalooza on August 3rd. You can watch the video above.
