Slipknot have returned with the first track to be taken from their long awaited, as-yet-untitled fifth album.
The track, entitled ‘The Negative One’, marks the first new material the band have released since the passing of bassist Paul Gray in 2010, as well as the departure of drummer Joey Jordison last year.
Frontman Corey Taylor recently stated in an interview with Loudwire that their upcoming album was “98% done”. As of writing, there is no further details available regarding the album.
Slipknot’s last studio album, All Hope Is Gone, was released in 2008 to commercial acclaim, hitting the no. 2 spot on the Official UK Albums Chart.
