2014 has been a year chock-full of bizarre hip-hop collaborations. Haim casually hit up A$AP Ferg for a remix of their percussive stomper ‘My Song 5’, Death Grips pulled Bjork out of the aether for a collaborative album before imploding on themselves – and now it seems Atlanta’s most recent breakout rapper OG Maco has collaborations with The 1975 and Odd Future Records hardcore alumni Trash Talk in the pipeline.

Maco struck up an unlikely friendship with The 1975’s frontman Matt Healy after he expressed his love for Maco’s inescapable viral hit ‘U Guessed It’ – so much so that he recently broke out into the song’s refrain during a live performance – and now, according to a series of tweets from Maco himself, the two artists have a collaborative effort on the cards.

Maco also confirmed that a collaboration with Trash Talk is on the way after a fan pondered whether “any speakers could handle” collaboration between the two.
