19 year old Irish singer/song-writer Bridie Monds-Watson, otherwise known by her stage name SOAK, has announced a London show following her nomination for the Mercury Prize Album of the year award.

SOAK’s album, Before We Forgot How To Dream, resulted in her being one of the twelve finalists to be chosen from over 220 albums for the award. Selected by an independent judging panel, featuring well-known author and music writer Simon Frith, musician and songwriter Nick Mulvey and DJ Mistajam, SOAK’s music has received a lot of attention from industry professionals.

The one-off show will be taking place at London’s KOKO on March 22 of next year, with the former theatre venue allowing both seated and standing spaces. Although no set dates yet, SOAK also has plans for a UK autumn tour.

Tickets will be available from 9am on October 23.
