The Manchester band announced through their Facebook and Twitter they will play both headline shows at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium next summer.
The band will play the two Manchester shows on Friday June 17 and 18. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday (November 6th) at 09:30am.
The four piece announced they will also play a headline slot at next years T In The Park festival on July 8th. The announcement comes after posters of lemons – which have been used on the bands previous artwork, started to appear in record stores across Manchester.
Information of a new touring company was made available by the government’s Companies House website, which was registered to the names Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary Mounfield and Alan Wren. Man Touring Limited was registered on October 29th by the four names, the same names of the band members.
Fellow Manchester musicians Liam Fray (The Courteeners) and Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) tweeted about the poster, leading fans to speculate that all three bands will play together.
The Stone Roses are now second favourite – behind Adele, to headline next year’s Glastonbury Festival according to Betfair. They were booked to headline in 1995 but had Pulp to fill in last minute.
