The upcoming memorial service for Motorhead frontman Lemmy will be streamed across the world when the service takes place this weekend.
The service will be broadcast on the bands Youtube channel between 1am and 5am on Sunday morning UK time. The memorial will take place across the whole of West Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard.
“Wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch the service with fellow Motorheadbangers and friends,” was what the band had to say in a statement released.
“Go to your favourite bar, or your favourite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us. Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home. Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday, January 9 and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon.”
A private service for friends and family will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood.
Lemmy passed away on the 28th December after a short battle with cancer.
