David Bowie, who released his final album Blackstar only two days before his death, had laid out plans to posthumously release a number of records in the coming years.

Having been known for his various alter egos over 50 years, Bowie’s recordings are reported to be “divided into eras” but “will not necessarily be released in chronological order”.

Bowie’s longtime producer Tony Visconti announced that Bowie had demoed at least five songs for the pending releases, the first of which is reported to come before the end of 2017.

In addition the cast album for Lazarus, Bowie’s musical starring Cristin Milioti and Michael C Hall, will be amongst the anticipated releases.
