Paramore live drummer Aaron Gillespie has spoken about his role in the band as work begins on their next studio album.

Gillespie, who also drums for Underoath, has been performing with Paramore since 2013, after the departure of founding drummer Zac Farro in 2010. Despite touring with them, the band decided to work with former Lostprophets drummer, Ilan Rubin during the recording sessions for their fourth album.

There have been many speculations that Gillepsie could possibly work on the next Paramore LP. But he has now clarified his role is strictly in the live performing only.

“They’re amazing people,” he recently said of the band. “It’s an honour to get to play with them. It’s something that’s super challenging because of their stature, and because you want to be great for something like that”.
